Welcome to New Beginnings Christian Academy Website

What Makes Us Different from Other Private Schools?

1. Christian Environment for grades K-12.
2. Smaller teacher to student ratios (no more than 15 students to 1 teacher).
3. We have been accredited since 1996.
4. All of our teachers are certified by FCPS – they love our students  – and they love teaching here.
5. We believe that while  ALL students can learn – some learn differently.
6. We accept most major scholarship programs.
7. We use SMART boards and tables in every classroom and have a laptop
ratio of approximately one laptop for every two students.
8. We give diagnostic testing to make sure every new student is getting the
help where he or she needs it.
9. We are located on a beautiful 7 acre property in an area with very little traffic; yet, we are less than a minute away from I-10 and I-295 (directly
across the street from the Flea Market along I-10 at Lane Avenue.)

Standardized Testing
April 9th – 11th, 2019

NBCA  will administer the Stanford 10 Achievement Test on April 9th through the 11th. We had a misprint of dates on this site earlier. This test is given to grades 3 through 12. Most of our 3rd thru 12th graders will take the test, although some of our McKay students will be exempt.

On the evening prior to testing and each day of the test, students should get 8 to 10 hours sleep, and should have a nourishing breakfast. Snacks will be given to our students at no charge during the test time.

Please NOTE: We will dismiss ALL our students (K-12th) at 1:00 p.m. on the three days of testing.

(Since we also dismiss early on Friday, April 12th at 11 a.m. for Easter Break, that there will be only 1 day, Monday of that week, when dismissal will be at 2:50 p.m.)

Re-Enrollment for the 2019/2020 School Year

Parents need to re-enroll now for the upcoming school year. Spaces are quickly filling up. New students want to attend NBCA. All returning students need to have their re-enrollment sent in ASAP to guarantee a place in next year’s roster.

If your student is on Step Up for Students, you need to send a copy of your award letter in with the Re-Enrollment form. We need both – the re-enrollment form and the award letter from Step Up.

Please DO NOT WAIT. We cannot guarantee your child’s enrollment for the new year unless you act quickly.

Easter Break
April 15th -22nd

NBCA will be closed for Easter Break beginning with a half-day of school on April 12th. There will be NO SCHOOL from April 15th thru the 22nd. Classes will resume on April 23rd.
